Governor Beshear has recommended temporary closure of all Senior Center activities until further notice. The Senior Centers will continue to provide meals to current meal participants. Each county has a plan for delivering meals to each person’s home or will permit individuals on their congregate meal roster to pick up a meal at the entrance of the center. If you are in need of additional supports, please contact the Senior Center in your county or the Bluegrass Aging and Disability Resource Center at 1-866-665-7921 or 859-266-1116.
If you are 60 years old or older and/or have diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, kidney failure or other chronic major medical conditions, we recommend you avoid densely populated community events and consult this CDC Guidance for Older Adults
Take extra measures to put distance between yourself and other people to reduce your risk of being exposed:
• Stay home as much as possible
• Have enough household items and groceries on hand if you need to stay home
• Monitor your health and keep in touch with your doctor
